Iwasaki and Schwartz Moretti featured artists in Seattle chamber music series this summer

Jun Iwasaki, Oregon Symphony's concertmaster, and Amy Schwartz Moretti, the orchestra's former concertmaster, will play several concerts this summer at the Seattle Chamber Music Society's Summer Festival.

Schwartz Moretti appears during the first week (July 7-11) in the following performances:

- Brahms: Quintet for Piano and Strings in F minor
- Ernst von Dohnanyi: Quintet for Piano and Strings in E-flat minor
- Bloch: Three Nocturnes for Violin, Cello, and Piano
- Turina: "Circulo...", Fantasia for Violin, Cello, and Piano

Iwasaki plays at the end of week 2 (July 18) and through weeks 3 and 4 (July 31-August 1). Here's his list:

- Bridge: Phantasie Quartet for Piano and Strings in F-sharp minor
- Schumann: Quintet for Piano and Strings in E-flat Major
- Franck: Quintet for Piano and Strings in F minor
- Taneyev: Quintet for Piano and Strings in G minor
- Chopin: Trio for Violin, Cello, and Piano in G minor
- Shostakovich: Quintet for Piano and Strings in G minor
- Bartok: Rhapsody No. 2 for Violin and Piano

Too bad that Iwasaki and Schartz Moretti are not at the festival at the same time so that they could be featured in the same piece. That would be nifty.
